Morning (fasting) vs afternoon resistance exercise in individuals with type 1 diabetes: a randomized crossover study.

Alberta
1 November 2019
Resistance exercise has many benefits for people with type 1 diabetes, including smaller changes to blood glucose levels during activity than seen during aerobic exercise. This study sought to determine the effect of morning resistance exercise (before eating) versus afternoon exercise on blood glucose responses. The results showed that morning resistance exercise resulted in very different blood glucose responses than the same exercises done in the afternoon.
